Shri. Rohidasji Patil,
Chairman of the Trust, is a well-known social worker
who has dedicated himself to the upliftment of downtrodden
and poor people of Mira-Bhayandar Suburban area.
His vision “Vidya Param
Daivatam” is well reflected in providing
education as the greatest gift to the society. The tragic
accident of a girl student while boarding the ladies
special local train of Bhayandar, a decade ago, is the
sentimental cause of the initiation of the college.
To accomplish his mission, he started
a college named after his father Late Shri. Shankar
Narayan Patil. |
Inspite of all initial problems, his untiring efforts
enabled him to acquire land from the collector of
Thane and funds from various Charitable sources. This
noble cause was supported by well-known doctors, advocates,
engineers and political leaders. In a short span of
ten years the college has grown into a multi storeyed
educational complex with all amenities. The college
focuses on well defined objectives for quality education,
personality development of the student community,
creation of social awareness and ultimately the economic
upliftment of the society.
