Shree Shankar Narayan Education Trust, was formed in the year 1993 to promote higher education in and around Mira-Bhayandar. Under the dynamic leadership of Shri. Rohidasji Patil the Trust laid the foundation of Shankar Narayan College of Arts & Commerce in the year 1994. The college was started with 42 students and has grown to a strength of around 2500 students within a short span of ten years. This progress is the result of its distinctive characteristics.

Mission

Our student community is mainly drawn from Mira-Bhayandar area which is inhabited predominantly by the underprivileged section of the society. It is a great satisfaction to note that the institution concentrated on the path of the above mentioned goals of the College. Within a span of ten years our College has become an instrument in providing access to higher education and thereby, transforming the social fabric of the area.

The outreach programmes offered to students enhanced various personalities in academic, sports and cultural activities.

The extensive activities carried out by N.S.S. has developed the neighbourhood network. Healthy practices of customs and traditions inculcate values among the student community.

Active participation in extension outreach programmes are exposing students to the modern method of work culture.
